Shawcor Composite Production Systems (Shawcor)  is looking for an Account Manager . Shawcor manufactures and sells spoolable composite pipe and poly pipe, used primarily by oil and natural gas producers in applications which benefit from the product’s pressure and corrosion resistance capabilities. We have manufacturing facilities in Calgary, Alberta and Edmonton, Alberta, with additional sales, service and distribution facilities in Northern Alberta, Saskatchewan, Texas, Colorado, Utah, California, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Australia. Reporting to the General Manager of US Sales, the Account Manager is responsible for participating in the development and execution of sales and marketing strategy and tactics, including, but not limited to, trade shows, lunch & learns, and other promotional activities, and will help to identify and evaluate new market and business opportunities.




  • Pro-active selling to target customers
  • Re-active sales efforts on inquires generated from website, advertising, referrals or other sources
  • Assist in ensuring the company is represented in industry related directories and contact bases
  • Inputting and managing the company CRM and sales order system
  • Assist in developing company-related marketing initiatives and material, including brochures and advertising
  • Preparation and presentation of projects quotes to customers
  • Assist in preparation of annual sales forecasts and sales and marketing budgets
  • Identify and report on competitive market conditions
  • Working closely in a cross-functional team with other departments such as accounting, engineering, research and development, manufacturing and field




  • Minimum of 2-5 years successful sales experience selling to end users preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical sales experience with products used in pipelines, production facilities, gathering systems, production equipment, or products related to pipelines- coatings, chemicals for corrosion protection, etc.
  • Have a basic understanding of oil and gas production facilities and processes
  • Have an existing network of contacts in oil and gas producers.
  • A relentless drive to succeed and the ability to identify the influencers within an organization will be extremely successful in this position
  • A strong aptitude for building relationships
