IT Technician I (6 Month Contract)

This is an entry level position working with end-user troubleshooting, pc support, and basic networking. Desire to obtain experience in an internal and customer facing IT and engineering related company is preferred.

Familiarity and prior usage of Windows operating systems, MS Office applications, networking, PC hardware, wireless technology management, basic wiring, Active Directory, Help Desk management software, video conferencing, web-based applications, desktop imaging, remote support, VOIP phone systems, Skype for Business, and desktop firewalls is preferred. Experience with HP desktops and laptops is a plus.



  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients and internal employees seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or through the ticketing system.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Record events, problems, and their resolution
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information



  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (previous Helpdesk experience is preferred).
  • Industry certifications, Associate degree, and/or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Must work well in a group as well as alone and unsupervised.
  • Attention to detail and good time management is required in order to keep up with a high volume of support requests.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with end users and department members.
  • This position may travel up to 10%, a clean driving record is required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding occasional on-call technical support after hours and on weekends.
