THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the Asset Reliability Supervisor, the Journeyman Millwright is a full-time position responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of production equipment for Composite Production Systems. While performing the duties of this role, you will be working as a part of a team and will routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety. This role requires availability for on-call support and will be eligible for shift work.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
  • Complete maintenance tasks related to production, field, and R&D equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment related issues in a timely manner.
  • Liaison with external vendors relative to parts supply and repair.
  • Provide on-call support relative to maintenance issues as required.
  • Provide mentorship to production operators relative to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assist the Plant engineer in development and implementation of a new maintenance software planning system.
  • Manage daily workload and priorities.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Completion of Millwright trade certification (Red seal certification is a definite asset)
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience (ideally in a manufacturing environment)
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of maintenance management systems would be a definite asset
  • Availability for on call rotation (including days and nights) and overtime depending on production requirements.
  • Be a team player with excellent collaboration & communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Occasional travel will be required
  • Consistent commitment to working safely
  • Valid driver's license
