HAS COVID IMPACTED HIRING? 

We are currently using virtual interviewing more broadly than has been done historically.  We have also been attending virtual career fairs and meeting with college students in this format.    

HOW DO I APPLY? 

The career site offers several different options to search and apply for job openings on both a PC and mobile device.   You are able to search by job category, area of interest, specific opening or keywords.   

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE HIRING PROCESS? 

Once your online application is completed, the Recruitment team will review the application. If you are being considered for a role, you will be contacted directly by a member of our Recruitment team who will advise you on the next steps in the process. 

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY APPLICATION WAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED? 

The system will send you an automatic acknowledgement upon completion of your application.   

HOW DO I CONTACT SHAWCOR ABOUT MY ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS?

  • Turn on your browser's "Compatibility View" 

HOW DO I RESET MY PASSWORD? 

Enter the email address you used to register and select “Forgot my password.” The system will send you an email with a link to reset your password. 

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY RESUME AND PERSONAL INFORMATION? 

Your personal information and resume will only be used for the recruitment process by the recruiting and hiring team involved in the process. 

HOW CAN I BE NOTIFIED ABOUT FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES WITH SHAWCOR?  

Once you create your profile, you can set up job alerts to let you know when a position opens matching your search criteria. 

IF I DON’T SEE AN OPEN POSITION THAT I AM INTERESTED IN, CAN I STILL SUBMIT A RESUME? 

Yes.   You may submit a resume for future consideration by joining our talent community.  

HOW LONG WILL MY PROFILE REMAIN ACTIVE IN THE DATABASE?  

Your profile will remain in the database indefinitely, unless you request to have it deleted. 

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A JOB OFFER VIA EMAIL, SKYPE, FACEBOOK, ETC. WITHOUT INTERVIEWING FOR A POSITION OR SPEAKING WITH ANYONE DIRECTLY AT SHAWCOR.   IS THIS LEGITIMATE? 

No.   We have personal contact with any candidate that is extended a job offer.  Most offers are presented both verbally and in writing.   We are aware of fraudulent attempts to collect job applicants’ personal information by posing as hiring managers or recruiters.   Legitimate offers will only come from a @shawcor.com email address or via a recruitment agency that the candidate has previously corresponded with.
